The RICS Home Survey (Level 2)/Homebuyers’ Survey Report is suitable for any home – house or flat – built using traditional methods and materials. It objectively describes the condition of the different elements of the home and provides an assessment of the relative importance of any defects/problems found.
Choose the RICS Home Survey (Level 2)/Homebuyers’ Survey report if you want extensive information when buying a conventional home built from common building materials and in reasonable condition. The majority of homebuyers will find that a Level 2 survey report prepared by one of our RICS accredited surveyors is sufficient to provide peace of mind about the condition of the property they are looking to buy; our surveyors are always available to discuss the results of the Level 2 survey and are happy to talk through their report directly with you.
The focus of the RICS Home Survey (Level 2) report is on assessing the general condition of the main elements of a property and providing homebuyers with a RICS accredited survey report detailing the condition of the home and of defects found. The RICS Level 2 survey is an intermediate level of survey report and includes an extensive visual inspection of the exterior and interior of the home and its services and grounds, but does not test any services. Concealed areas normally opened or used by the home’s occupiers are inspected during a homebuyers’ survey if it is safe to do so (typical examples include roof spaces, basements, and cellars).
